Mr. Eqan Ali Khan
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Eqan Ali Khan has over 25 years of leadership experience in strategy, commercial, operations, business development and finance in multiple industries including foods, agribusiness, chemicals, fertilizer, pharmaceuticals, animal health and international commodity trade.
Prior to joining FAP, he was the Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer at Lucky Core Industries (Formerly ICI) where he led the Corporate Strategy, Innovation, Business Development and Corporate Supply Chain functions. He was instrumental in developing the long-term strategy and growth drivers for the company, driving innovation in the organization, leading business development initiatives and streamlining the Corporate Supply Chain function. He also oversaw the turnaround of the Animal Health Business working with the business team for growth and business transformation. In addition, he successfully led the corporate rebranding of ICI Pakistan Limited to Lucky Core Industries.
Mr. Eqan has also held senior management positions at Engro Corporation including Business Director - Consumer Staples; Head of Strategy, Business Development & Finance, and Business Head, Commodities. He was the Secretary to the Board Investment Committee at Engro Corporation where he helped develop the company’s strategy and growth pillars as well as the portfolio framework for risk and returns. He was instrumental in driving sales and profitability for Engro’s consumer staple foods business and commodities trading business as well as leading the successful launch of multiple brands in Agribusiness and Fertilizers including the first national flour brand in the country.
He holds a BBA Honors and MBA from IBA, Karachi and has also undertaken executive education from the Harvard Business School, Kellogg School of Management and the Indian School of Business.

Lt. Col. Saleem Rao (R)
Chief Operating Officer
Saleem Rao brings a distinguished background from his military career, he was appointed on a key role for the selection of Army, Navy & PAF officers. Commanded Armour Regiment on two stations . He dealt with imports and Exports operations for the Pakistan Army and numerous defence related organizations for more than three years at Air & Sea Ports .
In 2012, he seamlessly transitioned to the private sector, joining as COO Wiltrans Cargo Services (WCS) and later appointed as CEO. Over the course of his 12 years with WCS, Rao took the responsibility of leading stevedoring, warehousing, transportation, and customs clearance operations.
The company achieved several historic milestones at the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) with regard to loading and unloading of vessel and trains dispatch from the Port. His strategic vision and unwavering determination played a pivotal role in transforming the company from a small stevedoring operation into one of Pakistan’s leading maritime services providers, which in turn significantly boosted sales and drove overall business growth.
In addition to his corporate achievements, Rao also served on the Management Committee of the Stevedore Conference from 2016 to 2021, and he has been a member of the Karachi Dock Labor Board (KDLB) since 2015. His contributions have been crucial not only to the company’s success but also to the advancement of Pakistan’s maritime industry. Being member of KCCI and FCCI on Maritime Affairs.
Rao enjoys golf, a sport that mirrors his passion for precision, strategic thinking, and his ability to maintain a broad perspective.

Brig Abdul Ghaffar, SI(M), (Retd)
Company Secretary / Head of HR & Administration
Brigadier Abdul Ghaffar was commissioned in Pakistan Army in October 1991 in an Infantry Battalion. He attended mandatory military courses. Over the course of 32 years of military service, he held various important positions encompassing Command and Staff roles, both inland and abroad. He is a graduate of prestigious institutions including the Command & Staff College Quetta. Brigadier Ghaffar’s illustrious career includes serving as a proud representative of the Pakistan Army in a conflict prone area of Democratic Republic of Congo, where he played a crucial role in peacekeeping efforts.
As a Staff Officer, he has performed duties as a Grade 2 Operations Officer of a Strike Formation as well as in Military Intelligence. As a LT Col he has commanded a Wing in Sindh Rangers and also served as Sector Commander in Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) at Karachi. The officer also served as Deputy Brigade Commander of an Infantry Brigade in Operational Area/ War Zone. He also holds certification of Director’s Training Program from Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG) along with numerous short courses on Management, HR, Import - Export, Real Estate Management, Leadership and also done Master’s in Project Management from a prestigious institute in Islamabad.
Brigadier Abdul Ghaffar also brings extensive operational and support services expertise, having previously led these functions at various units & HQs in Army as well as in private sector. His diverse background and wealth of experience make him a valuable addition to Team FAP Marines Terminal, where he assumed the role of Company Secretary /Head of HR, Admin and Security in February 2025. In recognition to his dedication and hard work, he has been awarded with Sitara-e- Imtiaz (Military) by the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Abdul Waheed
GM Terminal
Mr. Abdul Waheed joined FAP Marine Terminal in October 2008 during the construction period as Dy Manager Project control. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from NED University of Engg. & Tech Karachi and is experienced in the field of project execution and O&M management of marine terminals. He is NACE certified for corrosion and coating protection. He has overall 20 years of professional experience in the Project execution as well as operation and maintenance at Fauji Oil Terminal at Port Qasim handling bulk petroleum product from oil vessel s. He has executed various EPC projects abroad of various nature in the field of petrochemicals, refineries, and construction of tank farm with CB&I, Chevron, Saudi Aramco and Qatar Fertilizer. He has also attended various training programs local and abroad, in the field of project management, operation & maintenance and ISPS code & is certified (PFSO) from STET, Singapore.

Alina Jamil
Chief Financial Officer
Mrs. Alina Jamil is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP). She is working as Chief Financial Officer at Fauji Akbar Portia Marine Terminal Limited (FAP) and has a work experience of over nine years.
Earlier she had been associated with Fauji Oil Terminal and Distribution Company Limited (FOTCO) in the capacity of Deputy Manager Internal Audit, which is another Fauji Group company. She was reporting directly to the Audit & Finance Committee.
She has also been engaged with GroupM Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd at the position of Manager Reporting. Her job role included overall planning and organization of goals while ensuring compliance with strict reporting deadlines.
Alina also has a vast experience in the field of audit, including at big four firms, such as KPMG Taseer Hadi & Co.

Muhammad Adnan
Senior Manager Engineering
Muhammad Adnan holds BE in Mechanical Engineering from NED University and MBA from Hamdard University. He has over 20 years’ experience in various industries in the field of operations, maintenance, manufacturing, supply chain and projects. He has worked with Adamjee Engineering, Aga Khan Hospital, Midas Safety, Shafi Tanneries and Matco Foods at various technical management positions. He has conducted various workshops on facilities management, CQI Tools and staff training in Aga Khan & Hamdard Universities. He joined FAP Marine Terminals in September 2014 and looking after Engineering department.

Zafar Imam
Senior Manager Information Technology
Zafar Imam holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Mohammad Ali Jinnah University. He has over 13 years of experience across various industries, including ISP, FMCG, retail, textile manufacturing, and exporting. His expertise covers software development, cloud computing, cybersecurity, network infrastructure design, and both IT and OT operations. He has worked in various technical and managerial positions, leading complex projects and optimizing team performance.
Overall, Zafar possesses a rare combination of technical knowledge, managerial expertise, and strategic vision. His ability to lead and inspire teams, drive innovation, and implement effective project management practices is highly valued. With his extensive expertise in IT infrastructure and strategic innovation, coupled with a commitment to continuous improvement, Zafar Imam is exceptionally positioned to elevate the IT Department’s impact and contribute significantly to the organization's success.

Naveed Hussain
Senior Manager Operations
Naveed Hussain Joined FAP Terminals in June 2010 during the construction period as Engineer Mechanical/Industrial. He holds BSc in Industrial Technology and BE in Chemical Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering & Technology. He carries with him over 15 years' professional experience in the field of operations, manufacturing and process. He has worked with a petrochemical industry "Standard Board (Pvt.) Limited" at technical management positions. He has also attended various training programs in the field of Terminal Operations, HSE and ISPS code and is certified PFSO from Maritime Training Institute Karachi and has also conducted various staff training on Safety in FAP Terminals. He is looking after Operations department.

Aamir Khan
Senior Manager Business Development
Aamir Khan has been associated with Maritime, Ports & Shipping sector for the last sixteen (16) years having broad International experience of various geographical markets (the Gulf Region, United Kingdom, Nordic Region & South East Asia Region) in Planning & Developing Businesses and Marketing Strategies for Bulk / Break-Bulk & Container Terminal Operators, Shipping Lines, Freight Forwarding, Logistics / Warehousing & Free Trade Zones.
He has gained in-depth knowledge through an industry-specific 'Executive MBA in Logistics & Port Management', which is an addition to his core studies, i.e. 'MBA in Marketing'.
Previously, he was associated with China Overseas Ports Holding Company as a Head of Research & Business Development and has also worked in world-renowned companies such as American President Line (APL), Al Futtaim Logistics UAE, SARGENTS Logistics Solutions UK, and Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT). He was also associated as Board Member and Research Supervisor of various Experiential Learning programs runs by famous Business Schools such as LUMS, IBA, IoBM, and has delivered no. of presentations on Maritime Sector as a Keynote Speaker at various International, National & Institutional platforms.
He has joined FAP Marine Terminals in October 2019 and looking after the Business Development department.

Ahad Hussain joined FAP in November 2022. Ahad brings with him over 12 years of experience in Human Resource across multiple industries and has played a pivotal role in implementing change management, polices, performance management and learning interventions.
He is focused on driving productivity and creating sustainability through employee engagement, talent development and succession planning.
Ahad has done his MBA from IBA, Karachi and is an avid fitness enthusiast that promotes vitality.
